Meghan grew up in the very large, hot state of Texas in a Dallas suburb called Highland Village. She completed her undergraduate work at Hope College in Holland, MI where she received a BS in chemistry in 2018. Her undergraduate research included the study of carbon- carbon bond forming reactions by coupling imines and norbornene with rhodium catalysts. She also spent two summers working at UT Southwestern synthesizing biologically active small molecules to be tested against lung cancer cell lines and leishmaniasis bacteria. After starting her graduate career at UW-Madison, she joined the Buller lab and is very excited to get started with her research! Besides science, Meghan also enjoys movies, books, hiking, and cross-country skiing.
