Eric Geunes

Eric is a native of the swamp lands of Gainesville, Florida. After 18 years of heat and humidity, he decided to travel north to study Chemistry and Biochemistry here at UW-Madison. He is also a member of the UW swimming and diving team and specializes in the 200, 500, and 1650 freestyle. An undergraduate student who works with Jon on biocatalytic synthesis of noncanonical amino acids, Eric hopes to one day become a Ph.D. student in a chemistry lab. In his free time, he enjoys collecting records, watching Star Wars, being outdoors, laughing (loudly), shopping at Trader Joe’s, and eating sweets.
