Calvin Spolar

Calvin grew up in the city of Wauwatosa in southeastern Wisconsin, before coming to UW Madison to pursue a double major in Chemistry and Classics with Latin Emphasis. As an undergraduate researcher in the Buller Lab, Calvin is investigating biocatalytic routes for the synthesis of aminolaevulinic acid with the help of his mentor Lydia. Outside of the lab, his favorite past times are hosting cook-offs and having game nights with friends.
